At 1002 Bikes (“we,” “our,” “us”), we stand behind the products we sell and the service we provide. This Warranty Policy explains what’s covered, what’s not, and how to request warranty service.
Summary: Manufacturers provide the primary warranty for bikes, batteries, motors, and components. We provide a 30-day workmanship warranty on our assembly and repair labor. Proof of purchase is required; normal wear and misuse are excluded.
• The original purchaser with proof of purchase from 1002 Bikes (receipt or order confirmation).
• Warranties are not transferable unless the manufacturer explicitly allows transfer.
• Manufacturer defects in materials or workmanship under normal, intended use.
• Our workmanship on assemblies and repairs performed by 1002 Bikes for 30 days from service date
• Bikes & Components: Covered by the manufacturer’s written warranty included with the product (terms vary by brand).
• E-bike Electrical Systems (battery, motor, controller, display, charger): Covered per manufacturer terms—commonly 6–24 months. We follow the manufacturer’s decision on repair or replacement.
• Parts & Accessories: Covered per manufacturer terms. Wear items are typically excluded (see below).
• 1002 Bikes Labor/Assembly: 30-day warranty on workmanship for services we perform.
• Normal wear and tear: tires, tubes, brake pads/rotors, chains, cassettes, cables, grips, saddles, bearings, spokes, cosmetic scratches.
• Damage from misuse, abuse, accidents, impacts, stunts, racing, overloading, or commercial use unless expressly permitted by the manufacturer.
• Improper assembly, adjustment, or repairs performed by persons other than 1002 Bikes or an authorized service center. • Water damage, corrosion, or environmental exposure beyond the product’s stated rating (e.g., submersion).
• Electrical damage from using non-approved chargers, over-voltage, short circuits, reversed polarity, or modifications (including third-party controllers/firmware).
• Batteries stored/used outside recommended temperature ranges or stored at 0% charge for extended periods.
• Any product with altered/removed serial numbers or safety labels.
• Incidental or consequential damages (loss of use, time, or profits).
• Email byron@1002bikes.com or call (941) 933■2453. Include your name, phone, order number, product model/serial number, purchase date, and a description of the issue.
• Attach photos/video of the problem and of the serial number if available.
• For shipped items, we may issue a Return Authorization (RA) and shipping instructions. Items returned without an RA may be delayed.
• We or the manufacturer will evaluate the claim. If approved, the remedy is at the manufacturer’s or our discretion: repair, replacement with new or refurbished parts, or equivalent product if the original is unavailable.
• If no defect is found or damage is outside warranty, we will provide a quote for paid repair. A diagnostic fee may apply if you decline repair.
• Turnaround times vary based on parts availability and manufacturer processing.
• Within 30 days of purchase, we cover outbound ground shipping on approved warranty replacements shipped to you. After 30 days, you are responsible for shipping to us; return shipping on approved claims is typically covered by the manufacturer’s policy (varies by brand).
• Packaging is the customer’s responsibility. Use original packaging when possible; damage caused by poor packaging is not covered.
• Use only the charger supplied or approved for your specific battery model. Do not leave batteries charging unattended.
• Avoid full discharges; store batteries between ~40–70% charge in a cool, dry place. Do not expose to extreme heat/cold or moisture.
• If a battery is swollen, leaking, physically damaged, or overheating, stop using it immediately and contact us. Do not ship a damaged battery without instructions.
• Warranty service requires a valid receipt or order confirmation and, when applicable, a readable serial number on the product.
• TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR LIABILITY FOR ANY WARRANTY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT OR SERVICE. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
• This Warranty Policy is separate from our Return & Exchange Policy and Shipping Policy. Returns are subject to the Return Policy timeframes and conditions.
